Storybook forest

The storybook forest at Lake Arcadia was so much fun. You walk through the woods on trails, and trick-or-treat storybook characters. The scenes were all from books or nursery rhymes, and people were all dressed up like peter pumpkin eater, and sleeping beauty. Hayden loved it. After we finished the trail, there were games and a hayride. All for $5. I definitely recommend it for little ones.

My transformed living room

On our last rainy day, Hayden wanted to make a fort to read books and watch movies under in the living room. We had a lot of fun making it and then playing in it for 3 days! He did not want the fort to be taken down until I reassured him that the next one would be bigger and better, and in his room.

little boy bathroom before and after

Old wall paper and shower curtain. Peach and blue, yuck!

Old walls.

New painted, textured walls, with new hardware and art.

New shower curtain and rod.

The little man bathroom was the 2nd room completed in the new house. It is decked out in blue with a transportation theme. We are now working on Wade's home office. The news of the week is that I will no longer be buying diapers for the Hay man. He is finally potty trained! Hooray!!

Farm Fun/ American Pickers

Action shot.

$5 dresser found in the old hospital building sale.

The kitchen section of the building sale.

Last weekend Hayden and I went to the farm for some beautiful fall weather and family time. I went to a sale in the building above and the add for the sale read "wear old clothes and bring a flash light". Every room in this old building was full of stuff from an old antique mall and they were practically giving stuff away. My mom, aunts, and I came home with lots of treasures. I totally felt like I was on an episode of American Pickers!
