What am I supposed to do with this??

These are all items that have come home with Hayden from preschool in the last 2 weeks. I guess we are just supposed to grow the potato?? I am just not sure for how long. the second item brought home last week was the clothes pin butterfly. The last thing brought home this week has been the green goo blob! He smashes up the goo in his hand and sings a song he learned from Miss Vera about a "chemical change". It is too cute.

4th of July weekend

Making homemade ice cream with Grandma.

Feeding our Cousin's sheep.

More feeding sheep.

I got the kiddos this car for the farm at the last JBF Sale and it has been a big hit. Here, they just had to stop to make a quick phone call! We had a great 4th of July weekend. We started out at the farm on the 2nd and 3rd, then we spent the 4th in Mustang. I forgot my camera on the 4th, so no fireworks pictures. We had lots of great family time to end our week long vacation.

Missouri vacation

Taking a break during our hike at Dogwood Canyon.

Hay doing a little dance with no prompting.

Throwing rocks in the river during our hike.

Hay and granddad at the trout fish hatchery outside of Branson.

Hay's first go kart ride at The Tracks, in Branson. He thought it was way too bumpy and got off early after just 2 laps!

This sign says Danger Cave Entrance. Hay said, "Where is the danger?"

After a couple of trips to the pool, he was swimming on his own.

We had a great time in Missouri last week. We did lots of hiking, swimming, shopping, mini-golfing, and even went and saw Cars 2, while we were in Branson. We are so grateful that it was our turn to go on the summer vacation with Grani and Granddad this year. ( Wade's parents take one of their kids and their family each summer). We even got a nice break from this horrible heat. The temperature was 89-low 90's during our entire week!!

They have come a long way!!

On July 14th, 2010 these two beautiful baby boys were born at 28 weeks gestation, weighing only a little over 4lbs collectively.

Now, they are handsome, happy boys about to turn one!!

Family picture

Sweet Sam!

Eli and his momma.

We are so happy to be able to celebrate these boys' birthday this weekend. After too many months in the NICU, and too many close calls early in their lives, it is such a blessing to have them happy, healthy, and growing! Happy birthday boys!

Happy 5 year anniversary!

Wedding day 6/24/06

One year anniversary in Sedona, AZ and the Grand Canyon, 6/07.

This is a terrible picture taken with a phone last night. We went to dinner, a movie, and then Jazz in June in Norman! The last 5 years have gone by so quickly. We have started a family, moved into a new house and are now so busy working on our house. We are getting ready to leave for a much needed vacation tomorrow!! Happy 5th anniversary my love!

The fruits of our labor

I love those sweet little hands!

We are getting so much joy from our garden this summer! We have tons of apples, lots of grape tomatoes, and a good amount of blackberries growing. However, our veggies aren't doing so well. We have only had 2 bell peppers so far, and our spinach died after 2 weeks. We will hopefully have lots of jalapeno peppers soon. Hay's favorite thing to do in the evening is water our plants and pick the fruit. Our next project is to try to grow our pumpkins for the fall.
