Scootin in the kitchen

Hayden's new favorite activity is to scoot through the kitchen around the island backwards over and over and over again!  

Our favorite things

Hayden and I have been asked to share some of our favorite things on our blog, so here goes!  He loves a good bowl of cereal in the morning, and I love to add lots of things to it to make it extra nutritious.  I start with one of the Earth's Best fruit combinations, add Happy Bellies cereal, because it has probiotics, add some yogurt for a little protein and calcium, and then add some fresh fruit that I have pureed and stored in my freezer which is usually bananas or pears!  And voila!!  Delicious breakfast!! It looks like it takes forever to put together, but it really doesn't.  And for my girls, like Sarah that are asking me to "write all of this stuff down", I would definitely recommend the book "Super Baby Food".  It is an excellent resource to help you with what foods babies can eat when.    Anyway, our next installment on favorite things is going to be about what toys to not waste your money on!!!

I love this picture of Hayden and Buttons!  It is so funny to me how much Hayden already loves his doggies!  He has started giving Hooper hugs regularly even though Hooper doesn't like it.  I will try to capture it in photo soon.

Only in Oklahoma

Only in Oklahoma could Hayden have a week with a snow day and a day at the park!  I really do love our weather and can not wait for spring to roll in.  Hayden is 10 months old today, and is starting to pull up to stand, hold on to furniture to take steps, and is eating more and more table food.  He loves to feed himself more than anything!  What a guy!

It has been too long!

I have a lot of catching up to do on posts because Wade and I got a new computer and I have been dragging my feet trying to get used to it.  It is a Mac, and my first Mac ever to use, so needless to say it is taking me a while getting everything going.  I am very resistant to change by the way!  Anyhow, here are some pics from the Hayden's first snow day last month.

Growing, growing, growing.

It is amazing how much more personality is coming out of our little guy every day!

He weighs 21 lbs, and in the past week has gotten two teeth. He has decided that he doesn't

always want his bottle these days, and will just eat when he pleases regardless of the schedule

that I have him on. He is scooting around the house like a pro, but is refusing to crawl,

which is driving me crazy!! Oh, and he will be 9 months old next week. Unbelievable!

Bad parenting

There are certain non-toys that you are not supposed to let your children play with, which of course are the things they want the most! Cell phones and remotes are numbers 1 and and 2 on Hayden's list. On the night of the big game, Hayden got to play with his #2 so that his mommy could watch the first few minutes before he went to bed! I thought that his new Christmas OU blankie would bring us luck!! Oh well, thanks anyway aunt Trisha!
